Our Story
We are supporting reforestation around the globe while inspiring individuals to work together for a greener & better planet. We plant 1 tree for every bracelet sold on our store! We also donate to multiple animal sanctuaries and to WWF.
We started RegrowMyPlanet in late 2019 after wildfires started ravaging Australia. We started off as RegrowAustralia and rebranded to RegrowMyPlanet after wildfires and deforestation started taking its toll everywhere else on this planet. Animals are losing their homes quickly due to deforestation and global warming is getting worse every year. Ice caps are melting and polar bears are becoming endangered because of it.Â
Forests are one of the most; if not the most important solution to addressing the effects of climate change. About 2.6 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide, one-third of the CO2 released from burning fossil fuels, is absorbed by forests every year. Estimates show that nearly two billion hectares of degraded land across the world – an area the size of South America – offer opportunities for restoration.Â
Deforestation generates 15 to 20 percent of carbon emissions. It is the 3rd vital source of greenhouse gases.Â
The rise in greenhouse gases has altered the Earth’s climate patterns. We now experience tragic weather events such as heatwaves, wildfires, floods, drought, and hurricanes.
Increasing and maintaining forests is therefore an essential solution to climate change. Planting trees and stopping deforestation is our number one goal right now. That's why we sell these bracelets; to help fund tree planting operations around the globe and raise awareness on these issues so hopefully people will wake up and make a change.Â
About 3 - 7 BILLION trees are cut down every year. We are completely destroying our ecosystems and wildlife habitats. Animals are starving and have nowhere to go.
It is despicable what big corporations are doing to our wildlife and governments are doing nothing to help stop it. We are the only hope these precious animals have.
South Australia has lost over 50% of their koala population due to the recent bushfires and are nearing extinction.
In the Amazon the wooly monkey, multiple species of birds, tapirs, and many more are close to becoming extinct due to Millions of acres of rainforest continuing to be bulldozed and set to flame everyday to make room for Conflict Palm Oil, beef, and soy.Â
These are literally their homes we are destroying just for our convenience. Things HAVE to change. You can also help by only buying sustainable wood and paper, & help raise awareness to limit illegal logging.
People don't realize the toll that this is taking on our planet. Animals are becoming extinct daily and not enough companies are doing their part to help. We are trying to do everything we can to help out, we have planted over 100,000 trees and donated thousands to multiple wildlife sanctuaries. We just ask that you do your part and help in any way that you can, even if it just means to try and live more sustainably.Â
