Antarctica officially has a new high temperature record of 64.9 degrees Fahrenheit... that shouldn't be the case. “The Antarctic Peninsula is among the fastest warming regions of the planet. This new record is consistent with climate change.”

Wildfires are also once again ravaging the west & have already burned an area 4 times the size of NYC. Heatwaves in the Pacific NW & Western Canada had temperatures reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and are linked to 800+ deaths.

Imagine how much the animals are suffering. Polar bears will soon be extinct due to the ice caps melting.. & animals in North America are not made to be able to survive in this heat. 

How To Make An Impact?

Forests are one of the most; if not the most important solution to addressing the effects of climate change. About 2.6 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide, one-third of the CO2 released from burning fossil fuels, is absorbed by forests every year. Estimates show that nearly two billion hectares of degraded land across the world – an area the size of South America – offer opportunities for restoration. 

Deforestation generates 15 to 20 percent of carbon emissions. It is the 3rd vital source of greenhouse gases. 

The rise in greenhouse gases has altered the Earth’s climate patterns. We now experience tragic weather events such as heatwaves, wildfires, floods, drought, and hurricanes.

Increasing and maintaining forests is therefore an essential solution to climate change. Planting trees and stopping deforestation is our number one goal right now. That's why we sell these bracelets; to help fund tree planting operations around the globe and raise awareness on these issues so hopefully people will wake up and make a change. Each item sold on our store plants 1 tree where it's most currently needed.
